Dr. Ryan Nolan, D.M.D., our recent addition to Collins Dental Group employs a team based treatment approach with all his patients. He is adamant about providing the best quality care, and always makes sure that his patients are actively involved in their dental care. According to Dr. Nolan, " It is very important to me that the patient leaves feeling like they made decisions right along with me. When patients are involved in their own treatment they are able to make more educated decisions. Ultimately, I want my patients to receive the best possible treatment, and to make sure that they know how much I care about their dental health."
Dr. Nolan brings a modern approach to the dental chair and is always seeking out continuing education to learn the newest and best techniques available. He is very team oriented and works hand in hand with the other doctors at Collins Dental group. " I am really pleased to be a part of a practice that really focuses on team based care. I will often consult with the other doctors on how they would approach a case. Everyone here is all about the patient and spends the time to make sure they are taken care of. I really couldn't have asked for a better group of doctors to work with," he added.
Dr. Nolan is originally from Canada, but has lived in Illinois most of his life where his family resides. He spends his spare time mastering differing calligraphy fonts, volunteering, learning jewelry and doing wood restoration work.
Collins Dental Group has a history of supporting the arts and connecting with local artists by hosting special events to celebrate the uniqueness of DeKalb County. We hosted an art show in May featuring artwork from DeKalb and Sycamore High School art students. Students, family members and art enthusiasts attended our open house to view the 82 pieces of artwork, while enjoying music by a string ensemble from Sycamore High School.
The event was judged by Robert Bornhuetter and Louis Mustari, both retired professors from the Northern Illinois University School of Art. Awards were given for several categories. Courtney Donnelly of DeKalb High School (shown left) won first place for Neutral Drawing.
“We have a strong relationship with our community and a love of art, so we wanted to highlight the wonderful work done by our local young artists.” – Dr. Dennis Collins
Thank you, DeKalb County, for voting Collins Dental Group P.C. as One of the Finest Dentists and One of the Finest Orthodontists in the Daily Chronicle's annual DeKalb's Finest competition for 2014.
We love our patients and obviously they think very highly of our practice as well. The next time you're in the office, look for our two award certificates in the waiting room. We're proud to have won these wonderful awards! Thanks again!
